On Saturday, August 29, 2026, during the Thanksgiving Service organized as part of the activities surrounding the 62nd graduation ceremony of the Adventist University of Haiti (UNAH), Class of 2026, “ALTIORA,” a special moment was dedicated to highlighting some of the achievements of the university’s first student mission, known as “Impact UNAH 2026.”
This mission reflects UNAH’s commitment to service and community engagement, demonstrating the university’s desire to educate students not only academically, but also through values of solidarity, responsibility, and service to others.
Carried out in the community of Fournier, Impact UNAH 2026 enabled students to put their knowledge, skills, and energy at the service of the local population. The various initiatives focused on several key areas, including spiritual, medical, educational, environmental, and community outreach.
In the medical field, activities were organized to contribute to the health and well-being of community members. The educational component also provided opportunities to share knowledge and support the local population through various awareness and educational initiatives.
The mission also placed particular emphasis on spiritual and community outreach, creating opportunities for fellowship, dialogue, sharing, and support. Environmental initiatives, meanwhile, helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment.
The presentation of these achievements during the Thanksgiving Service served as a meaningful moment of recognition and testimony. It was a reminder that education finds its true purpose when it is translated into concrete actions that benefit society.
Through Impact UNAH 2026, UNAH students, particularly members of the “ALTIORA” graduating class, demonstrated that academic achievement can go hand in hand with commitment, service, and solidarity.
On this Thanksgiving Day, the university community gave all glory to God for His blessings, while recognizing the dedication of the students and everyone who contributed to the success of this mission.
